I’ve been looking for this snare sound and something I can just drop into a mix and it already sounds great and this Kit nailed it for me. The snare isn’t the overly punchy thick mess like the ones in metal today. It’s that high tuned crispy snare that brings back that early 2000s nostalgia. Definitely gonna check out some more kits!

A breath of Fresh Drums to the table
I had already bought the Nirvana ones, plus Modern Snares. I was always interested in the Bonham sound. Originally two Microphones on a stairwell, it shows what you can do with limited equipment (and imagination/choices). Today is no excuse, so having these samples in your arsenal are welcomed. I personally have preferred to get the drum sound at source, but we can't all have John Bonham at our finger tips and the outboard that was available at that given time. These have helped shape the sound of the kit for me. I look forward to the next instalment.
